The Roosevelt Fire -- September 2018

The fire began as a result of carelessness -- a group of hunters failed to properly extinguish their campfire.  Despite valiant efforts by wildland firefighting teams, it roared through our neighborhood about a week later, fed by steady 35-mph winds.
